Tillmann & Co. S. en C. eran importadores de maquinaria y representantes de casas extranjeras en la Habana teniendo establecidas sus oficinas en la calle de San Ignacio número 76.
Entre las representaciones más importantes que tenía esta casa era una la de la línea de vapores “Norddeutscher Lloyd” de Bremen. La compañía manejaba con Cuba dos líneas: Un servicio de vapores de carga y otro de vapores de pasaje y carga.
De octubre a diciembre despachaba vapores de pasaje, vía dos puertos españoles (Santander, Coruña o Vigo) para la Habana, los que regresaban a Europa por Galveston o New Orleans.
De la Habana a Bremen por la misma vía de puertos españoles durante los meses de abril, mayo y junio llevando al regreso pasaje para España y carga para Bremen.

M. Tillmann & Co., successors to Schwab & Tillmann, are Mercantile Representatives of the highest standing, in the Havana business world. They have three specialties: Importers of Machinery.
Representatives of various foreign business houses and are Agents for the “North German Lloyd” Steamship Line.
These magnificent Passenger and Freight Steamers give service between Bremen (Via Hamburg) and the Spanish Ports, then direct to Cuba, after which they call at different Ports in the U. S. A. (a more detailed description of these steamers and their routes will be found on another page-see index)
